The Cómic range is a good example of how we put into practice our guiding principle, that pedagogy has to shape design. In Galopín, pedagogy comes first, and Cómic is a range designed to accompany all the stages of child development, from early childhood to the age of 14. With this as our starting point, Cómic presents a set of games based on a simple and attractive design that adapts effortlessly to a child’s evolution. To reinforce their learning capabilities, this range uses a formal language similar to that which they find in school activities, or in the books and toys they have at home. Outdoor play, especially during early childhood years, must be integrated into the learning process and reinforce it in a harmonious way. For the older kids, Cómic offers structures with nets or fireman’s poles. It can also be combined with the wide variety of swings. Using primary colors and offering the possibility of wood or aluminum posts, combined with a simple, figurative design, Cómic familiarizes children with shapes such as those of animals or houses, while offering them suitable spaces to interact with each other and advance in their process of socialization. Also, and as a novelty, there is the alternative of incorporating rotational molding slides, instead of the traditional slide made of stainless steel.
